Short Description
«Great Battles: Battle of Tobruk» is a second game within the series of real-time strategies «Great Battles». The games of this series are dedicated to the most famous and important battles of World War II. In 1941 the Germans defeated the British near Tobruk, the only good harbor between Alexandria and Sfax. The victory gave Germans strategic advantage in the region right up till 1942 when General Montgomery forces dislodged Rommel army from Africa. The developments of that period, especially Battle for Tobruk and Battle of El Alamein, are recreated in the game with historical authenticity. Virtual commanders will face 20 missions in 2 campaigns: for Wehrmacht and Allied forces. According to historical events coverage, the game will present new rewards such as «For The Capture Of Tobruk» on the Wehrmacht side.

- Two historical campaigns for Germany and Great Britain, dedicated to the opposition of these countries in Northern Africa during the World War II and numbering 20 missions;
- About 200 historically established models of military equipment, artillery and aircrafts;
- Balanced multiplayer mode and 10 new multiplayer maps, suitable for LAN and Nival.Net gaming;
- Advanced AI: enemy soldiers can singly occupy the trenches and buildings, appropriate derelict equipment and use it both for attack and defense;
- To recreate the history of Afrika Korps and Allied Forces battles authentically, the original maps of the war period were used at creation of game levels.
